Dental advice and treatment at our clinic are provided by Dr. Kazuhiko Tsuchiya and a team of attentive and friendly dental hygienists and technicians. Dr. Kazuhiko Tsuchiya graduated with a Master Degree in Prosthodontic Dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry, USA. He was among the very first dentists in Japan to be certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics.

As a new branch of a dental practice that has been in operation for more than 70 years, our philosophy is to provide the best dental treatments based on sound knowledge of oral health supported with the latest technology and techniques in the dentistry. Tsuchiya Dental Clinic Oita Office is one of the very few clinics in Oita which offer highly specialized implant treatments and restorations.

If you hold a Japanese National Health Insurance (NHI) card, in most cases, the system covers 70% of your hospital fees, and you are only required to pay 30%. However, the system has several regulations on dental treatments that can be covered by their policies. For example, in terms of materials used for tooth restoration, only metal or plastic are covered by the NHI. The length of time per visit is also regulated at 20-30 minutes per visit, which requires you to return multiple times to complete procedures that otherwise be completed in one appointment. Treatments using more advanced technology such as orthodontics, implant, and porcelain are currently not covered by the NHI.

At Tsuchiya Dental Clinic, we put your long-term health first and will recommend the most effective and convenient treatment plan, which may not be covered by the Japanese National Health Insurance.

OUR HISTORY

Tsuchiya Dental Clinic Oita Office is a branch of Tsuchiya Dental Clinic, which was first established by Dr. Tsuchiya Haruhiko in 1947 in Saiki City, Oita Prefecture, Japan.

Tsuchiya Dental Clinic Saiki Office is currently managed by Dr.Tsuchiya Naoyuki, who is a fellow of International Team for Implantology, a committee member of Kyushu Implant Research Group and the founder of Saiki Implant Research Group.

Tsuchiya Dental Clinic Oita Office was opened in December 2015 and is currently managed by Dr. Kazuhiko Tsuchiya. Both Saiki and Oita offices provide a high standard of dental services, especially implant treatments, using the latest technology and materials to produce restorations with precise fit and perfect esthetic outcome.
